>80's action films will never be a thing again
>Not the LE RANDUM NOSTALGIA TRIP SO RANDUM indie shit, but actual movies that are shot, directed, written and produced like one
>You will never walk into a theater and sit down to memorable one liners from hulking men, with zero female empowerment and SJW/political shit with minimal CGI
Which 80's movie would you consider to be the best action movie of all time, and why is it Commando?
>Predator, Cobra, Escape from, Conan, Die Hard, Missing in Action, Cyborg and Above the Law also memorable mentions

Predator, Commando and Rambo 1 are my favourites.
Sounds like you're a closeted gay
>I'm so sad cuz I can't watch big beefy men fight each other with no women anywhere cuz women suck

Hello California kid

I don't understand what you're saying

You having a laugh?
There were always women around in old cheesy action movies.
Bloodsport, Cyborg, Kickboxer
I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!
Was Eraser the last great action movie?
I don't really care about muh female empowerment, but I fucking hate modern action sequences. This shit is so overcomplicated and elaborate but I don't feel any tension or impact when watching them.

>Wife is from Hong Kong
>The only shit she watched growing up was teenage drama shit and anime
>Introduced her to action movies, she loves them now
>Watched everything imaginable, got to the Taken series eventually
>Watch parts 1 and 2, she really likes them
>We go see part 3 in the cinemas
>Half way through she's begging to leave because the movie is giving her a migraine, and she doesn't understand what's going on with all the quick cuts and shaky cam
I still don't understand how they managed to fuck that movie up as badly as they did.

She's a complete cunt, don't get me wrong. Cantonese women are just the worst.
I watched Predator for the first time last night. Amazing movie.
This is why I'm so glad I wasn't born in the 80s. It must be a really fucking sad experience to demand muscles, guns and explosions in every single action film.
Action movies of the 80s and 90s had beautifully and technically precisely directed action scenes, where you could see every kick, smash and blow. Not like last 15 years with Michael J. Fox and his Parkinson's patients dominating the directing profession with their fucking shaky cams.

You 90's shits really are the most cucked generation, jesus christ.
I bet you consider "female empowerment" to be the most important aspect of a film, and cheer everytime Jlaw appears on screen.
>growing up i had arnold as my action hero
>kids these days have matt damon
no wonder everything is fucked

As if movies today aren't like that.

Congrats on proving him 100% right. If that were a modern film:
>Camera would be 1/2 an inch away from their faces and all you could see are just the edges of their limbs
>Camera would shake like crazy with bloom hitting the camera
>CGI blood
>Segal would probably be a woman
Yes, truly we live in better times.
