Season 2 was better than season 1.
The reason season 1 is so adored by normies and critics, is due to the existential bla bla, which Rust spews non-stop, which ironically is literally a red herring to fool the 2 cops asking the questions and the normies fell for it.
Anyone who has ever read serious philosophy before will recognize 90% of the things Rust mumbles about.
The twist wasnt even that good at the end of season1.
Season 2 on the other hand, had amazing ambience and symbolism.
>giant trees
>son, they shoot you to bits
Plebs gonna pleb, season 2 was amazing.

I enjoyed season 2 a lot more while re-watching. Season 1 is kind of boring to re-watch

Cary Fuk, along with the actors made season 1 GOAT. The writing was passable, just beautifully photographed and delivered. Two had seeds of greatness, but too inconsistently within an inert mess of a script. The actors, who were good, deserved better. The shifting directors weren't that good and killed what could and should have been a benchmark of the anthology series, one single director.

Season 2 is like Only God Forgives. Only a few people can understand how great it is. Unfortunately...

>within an inert mess of a script.
You know whats funny?
I predicted the killer of season 2 and the general story, just as fast as season 1. The problem alot of people had with season 2, was the "real-estate-lingo", which went over alot of people's heads.
Season 2 was very well written and executed. The dialogue was dark and brood, edgy at times, but never "an inert mess".
Just admit it, season 1 was all about Rust, regardless of the actual plot.
People expected another dichotomy of Rust and Marty, instead they got much more believable characters.
