The Hand aren't a bad concept, they were just executed terribly in season two.
Look at Nobu in season 1. Fantastic build up and the best, most intense, and Matt's hardest fight in the entire season. Foreshadowed everything and melded well with the ongoing story.
Compare to season 2. All the ninjas are shitty mooks who pop up out of nowhere and get blown the fuck out with ease, including Nobu himself.

The ninja fights sucked. Nobu was awesome in s1. Complete jobber in s2. Faceless nameless ninja did jack shit and got taken out by couple hits. Worst fights of the series. Nothing like visceral stuff from frank or awesome hallway fights in s1. Hell lot of fights in s2 you can clearly see them miss and the guy flips or falls down from the "hit".

There's nothing wrong with the idea of The Hand and Daredevil fighting them in a TV show.
It's just that the episodes focused on them aren't as good as the Frank focused ones. And then they manage to take the spotlight away from Frank for the rest of the season.

The fact that you want a Punisher solo series, shows that you missed the point of his story arc in Daredevil and you thrive off of pointless murder and gore because those are the only kind of stories the Punisher can lead.
