Better than literally all the other actors they were thinking of because he's a bit older; it seriously looked like they were initially going to go with high-school age Han for a while which would have been an irredeemable mess. I can see this dude as a Han in his prime even if he doesn't physically look all that much like Ford.

Why? Not even the best casting could salvage that concept. It's like, between this and Rogue One, they went out of their way to choose literally the most boring possible pieces of subject matter for the spinoffs. No one really cares what the fuck Han was up to before ANH, and no one really cares how the rebels got the Death Star plans.
It's like they're trying to take down the whole conceit of Star Wars spinoffs before it has a chance to even get off the ground.
