Ben's Batman doesn't seem like the sidekick type. Nightwing would work perfectly in the DCEU though, as long as they refer to him as a former protégé instead of sidekick.

Perhaps they could make a Killing Joke movie with a younger and less-bitter Batman, then follow up with a Red Hood movie.

Personally I hope the Joker = Jason Todd theory turns out to be true. Unfortunately that would make the Red Hood storyline impossible, but I'd be ok with that. They really could do a lot with the Nightwing character if they keep him as a former protégé who struck out on his own. It could be a really interesting dynamic if theres some animosity between them, but they end up teaming up to take down the Jason Todd joker or something.
Lots of possibilities here...making Batfleck a seasoned veteran is probably the smartest thing they've done. I really hope Ben's solo movie is focussed on Robin though.

My favourites were Christoph waltz as riddler, if you've ever seen big eyes he really sells the whole, manipulative genius who's also really quite pathetic when you really get to know him character.
Paul Dano would be a great scarecrow, it's just one of those castings that's so out there it could work. In twelve years a slave you really get to see him play a Jonathan crane style character. Thin and weak, has a mean-spirited personality that probably stems from an out of control inferiority complex, a bit of a sadist who uses his situation and tools to inflict pain on people stronger than him to feel like the big man.
