Haven't seen GotG but it's quite interesting to note that the 4 other movies have a lot more emphasis on the characters with effective build-up and questions about them and why they are doing what they do.
I didn't like the Spider-Man movies as much as I should but Iron Man and Days of Future Past were really nicely done.
