I work with downies at a school and I have no issues laughing at this. FWIW, I find kids with Downs much easier to work with than full on autists like the ones in the doc

Sure,w e'd prefer to do the inhuman thing, but I think it takes an incredible amount of altruism to be willing to support an invalid, and hope there is some bright spot in the future that he/she might be a normal functioning person.Of course, if you have a religion, you'd have more reason to believe in looking after said invalid.
