I wouldn't even call this a guilty pleasure, I genuinely think this film is an underrated gem and I'll defend it. I honestly think a lot of the hate comes from the fact it's a Dreamworks sequel and it has the name Kung Fu Panda. What we get is an excellent genuinely heartfelt film with surprisingly dark moments and is genuinely funny.
I can't help it, I enjoy it too much.

Yeah but it is expected when your film has one of the dumbest names a film could possibly have. People will go in with a preconception of it not being good. Whenever I list the second film as one of my favorite animated films I always have to qualify it just because of how dumb it sounds.

Yeah the name does do that. I hate it when people dismiss animated stuff like that as being childish. Personally I think whoever can't sit down and enjoy a well-crafted piece of entertainment just because it's animated or family-friendly are the real immature ones.
