ITT: Patrician taste only.
Retarded plot. 90 minute flick is 30 minutes too long.fun
How much of that budget went towards shilling?
How much of it stayed that way?
Murder Porn for Growing Minds
I'm too old for this shit.
It felt like the tutorial level in some FPS.
>>68153138
>be me
>get new game
>play through tutorial
>in the tutorial alone I rip someone's nuts off, stab like 30 people, and decapitate someone with my optical nerve
Do you see the problems here? Yes it feels like vidya but no game ever has had that amount of brutality. Especially in the fucking tutorial.
>>68154039
>hey new guy. do you remember who you are? no? okay. i'll do all the talking for you. your first quest is to get off this platform.
>great. now you're safe. but not for long. quick, you have 15 minutes to get your battery charged.
>here's yet another character who delivers a minute of exposition before leaving you forever.
Are you retarded? It absolutely was a tutorial level.
>>68155003
>implying that the tutorial wasn't over as soon as he was out on his own with jimmy
>>68155003
>you can hear them, but you can't shoot them. You can grenade them. Drop a nade down there, laddy.
>>68151798
Just saw this movie.>So Henry was a part of a giant cyberborb brainwashing army, home come his wife was there in the beginning? Does she do that with every single cyborg? Why does the villain break into his own base?
>How is Henry any different from every other cyborg? What made him rebel and think differently?
>How come the villain's supernatural powers are never explained?
>>68155894
The villain's powers are explained in a comic I think (not that I really care where his powers came from.)
Henry was the first cyborg. The cyborg army is brainwashed into believing they've gone through the same journey as Henry (the events of Henry's adventure are uploaded into their brains, but with their names dubbed over "Henry")
>Did not expect that level of sci-fi
>Jimmy was pretty much the only good character
>nice twist at the end
>entertaining
EZ
The soundtrack is on Spotify.
>>68151798
>ejection ports on the wrong side
>that block rear sight
operator my ass
>>68153138
>>68155003
Movies are not bimeo gams dum dum.
>>68155003
No that was pretty much a full game. It had tutorial moments like this: >>68155449
but it went like any standard FPS game. Tutorials don't usually have harder dudes in them towards the end and a final boss.
>>68155984
I wished this was just explained a tad more like wouldn't the robots beaggressive towards Akan if they're using Henry's memories?
>>68151798
>left side 1911 is obviously plastic
>both guns are mirrored incorrectly
Being a /k/ommando while doing /tv/ activities triggers my autism.
>>68156925Henry wasn't even suppose to live that long. He was like a prototype to see how well they would listen to their "wife". Also Akan even said he used up to the part where Henry put the ring on.
>>68158127
I figured that some fighting would be used to make them more familiar with it, but that makes sense.
>>68158335
They arecyborg super soldiersI don't think they would need the training that would come with hismemory's.
>>68158804
well henry kicked the shit out of 100 of them at once so maybe they could've use a little practice eh?
The final few minutes was probably the most satisfying climax I've seen in an action movie in a long time. The theater cheered when Henry wrote 'EZ'
>>68158893
Yea but Henry was half machine halfpussyso he had an advantage.
>>68159031
>the most satisfying climax I've seen in an action movie in a long time.
probably the most satisfying climax you've ever had in general.
Deus exJimmy
I got 3 words to describe this shit:
Hella
F*cking
Epic
Brah
Me and my bae went seeing this after shopping for oakleys.
>>68159122
Ha!
>>68159183
>oakleys.
You PC bro?
>>68151798
I can't shake the feeling this movie was made for douchebags and dudebros who describe anything as epic or amazing.
>>68159371
pussy detected
>>68159417
Im willing to bet I've gotten more pussy than you and I'm not even a douchebag.
>>68159493
wow you sure showed me with those hot opinions
>>68159493
Someone get this hothead outta here.
>>68159604
You keep replying so I assume I atleast bothered you a bit.
>mfwEZ
>>68159673
>>68159769EZ
my heart was fucking beating out of my chest out of sheer desire for some serious comeuppance
>>68159769I was expecting Henry to write out something longer and less cool like "Lied to me" or "Fuck you", but EZ was great
Any one want to post some good quality first person movies?
How many times didJimmy have to die before you realized he was a clone
It took me two times. I feel dumb for taking that long.
>>68160507
Like 4 but I was on drugs. I didn't understand a fucking thing about that movie until we left and my friend explained it. It was fucking badass though.
>>68160507
Once
>>68160403
That DOOM movie had a nice first person scene. Haven't seen any movies entirely in the first person aside from Hardcore Henry though.
>>68160403
Peep show is a pretty funny tv show shot in first-person perspective.
>mfw the dominatrices just start fucking Akan's men up with Henry and Jimmy
>mfw the brunette was the director's wife
>>68160763
Who were they?
>>68160605
Well the 1947 adaption of the Raymond Chandler novel the lady of the lake was the first movie to try it and I think the only one since.
>>68160763
Some times it's easier to just sayyes
>>68160507when i saw the payday dlc trailer
>you'll NEVER have an adventure like Henry.
>>68160847
the blonde is a literal nobody her first role was this and it probably would have just been cheaper to hire a real russian dom
the other one was the director's wife and is a mid level russian popstar actually
>>68160884
>Payday
>John Wick, Point Break (remake) and Hardcore Henry share the same universe (Hotline Miami doesn't count.)
deepest lore.
>>68151798
Why is he using two left handed pistols?
>>68160906
>no one will ever have an adventure like henrynot even chev chelios
>>68160936
What about in the story
>>68161008FUCK YOU, CHELIOS
>>68160884
The mask is in the movie in the gun drawer at the strip club. Pretty cool Easter egg.
>>68160761
Yeah I forgot about that, that show was was cringe comedy at its finest.
Still the constant jumping from characters point of view kind of undermines the effect for me. You still basically have got the 3 camera sitcom structure.
>>68161017
they were just dominatrices that worked at the brothel, degenerate Jimmy frequented there it seems and they just knew him and wanted in on revenge for shooting up the brothel
>>68161045
There was also a Payday 2 poster in the dopehead's apartment when Henry was on his way to visit Slick Dimitry.
>>68160948
>john wick
>classic bohdi
>henry and jimmybot 2.0
>jacket
>in the same movie
god damn that would be great
> Spoiler image is the bond intro
Another a classic example of cinematic first person view, even though you are are looking from the gun barrel not the scope.
Was anybody else surprised by thetankthat came out of no where.
>>68161321
>Russia
no I was not.
>>68160884
>>68161132
>play some payday
>do a loud heist
>join lobby
>jacket, bhodi, and jimmy are waiting
>play wick
>all of us realize what's happening and start fucking around with cops killan hostages
>none of them are annoying micfags
>haven't done a single heist without them ever since
It's the little things that bring people together.
>>68161321
nah it's Russia man, they literally have a theme park full of that shit, they probably have them laying around all over the country from the cold war surplus
>>68161321
it was in the trailer
>>68160990
Cost he is hard-core.
(All most all video games have the guns with ejector the port on the left because how else can you enjoy all that wonderful hot brass going pass your face?)
hippie Jimmy best Jimmy
Higher self or ego?
>>68161649
higher self pls.
>>68161500
>tfw super left eye dominant so shoot pistols from my left hand
>hot brass flies by my face all the time
>southpaw 1911's are like 6 fucking grand
>i didn't want one anyway
At least AR's have the little brass ejector nipple thing to deflect the brass far away from the shooter.
I watched it kinda late at night on Friday, but the theater was almost completely empty. Fuckin' gr8 movie. Dumb fun at its finest.
I got a collectors plastic ticket 25 of 300 from regal. Anyone else get one?
>>68162594
Here is a pic of it.
>>68151798
>>/v/
>>68156642
>ejection ports on the wrong side
Thats the shitty photosooper at work for the poster
>that block rear sight
Pretty much all of the guns Henry gets are from friends or foes(foes mainly), so he doesnt really get a pick in top tier gear, m8
>>68154039
>rips someone's nuts off
Does that actually happen? I can't stand that shit, especially when it's played for laughs. He doesn't just twist them or something?
>>68165346
Remember the apple from the trailer.
>>68165346
And its not for laughs its for justice.
>>68165346
Not played for laughsthe guy was trying to rape a girl and Henry put a stop to that shit real quick.
>>68166317
>>68166358
Guess I'm not seeing it then. Shits so obnoxious and shows up way too often in movies.
>DUDE MALE GENITAL MUTILATION LMAO
Makes me sick
>>68166433
You really are the most basic form of pleb if you see a problem with a rapist getting castrated.
>>68166464
I'm not okay with anyone getting castrated you simply do not fuck with a man's genitals.
>>68166433
It's less than 2 seconds of the seen.
>>68166496
Pleb.
>>68166525
I think redditors are probably indoctrinated with feminism to the point where they enjoy watching people get castrated like you seem to.
>>68166496
It not a testicle skeptical.
>>68161045
And Left 4 Dead poster
>>68166566
Nigger what the fuck do you not get about it was a rapist? Not a "she said he tried to do it so he must have" rapist either. It fucking showed him trying to rape the girl. You are goddamn right I enjoyed it when he got his nuts ripped off. If you weren't such a fucking edgelord you would too.
Just picked up the prequel comic; my local theater was supposed to hand them out on premiere night but they didn't. So when I went to see itfor the second timetonight they gave me their last one.It describes Akan's origins. Pretty much, Chernobyl is happening and Akan's birth father is a helicopter pilot trying to fix the disaster. Department of Health guy stops by and gives Akan's father a pill that will prevent radiation poisoning.
Meanwhile Akan's birth mother is giving birth to Akan, so Akan's birth father flies over and gives her the pill, cause he knows shit's about to go down. She takes the pill and it turns out to be a cyanide pill, chernobyl shit happens and the birth father dies, and the guy responsible finds a newly-born irradiated Akan and adopts him.
Years later Akan invents a drug and tries it out at a local club. It ends in the death of everyone that tried the drug except Akan. He wakes up in a hospital, the doctors reveal to him that he had been irradiated as a child, and Akan gains telekinetic powers from the drug (he can't replicate the powers because of a certain blood condition specific to him, the same condition that allowed him to survive the radiation as a child). He kills his adopted father and takes over the company.

To the Gelding Mill you go, ribbit
>>68166637
Thanks for the info dude that kinda bugged me abit after I saw the movie.
How with such small budget they have received Sharlto Copley? He starred for food?
Also EZ/10 great movie
Gonna go see it again tomorrow. Really loved it.
EZ
>>68155894
>How come the villain's supernatural powers are never explained?
Why do people keep asking this? It's not important.
watch this as a double feature
>>68166878
Sharlto get's off from being in low budget films.
Saw the movie. Im very glad I did and I have no doubt it puts BvS to shame.
Solid 7.5/10 with some fucking outstanding parts. Everything with Jimmy and the climax are 10/10.
Good movie.
>>68166994
Yea I feel it's better that it's not explained because the rest of the sci-fi in the movie seem like some what legit science, and some dumb explanation would just cheapin the rest of the scientific aspects.
>>68166878
His roles looked like nonstop fun. All the different characters, the way they danced around in the story. Plus he was there from the kickstarter so you know he must have liked the creative team. And, it had a 10mil budget, with like 6 other speaking characters, so he got paid decently well.
>>68166496
Rapist detected.
>>68166496pussy
>>68160507
I already knew from the last Payday trailer. Naishuller spoiled half his film there.
>>68166878
Bekmambetov asked Naishuller who he wants for the "companion" role. Naishuller's first pick was Copley; turns out, Bekmambetov knew him, and arranged a meeting. Copley asked to get a look at the screenplay, and Naishuller tailored the role for him. In one of his interview he describes how scary it was: like, what if Copley decides it's rubbish? He already set everything up with him in mind. Luckily, Copley thought it was great, and the rest is history.
>>68168726
You can't spoil thefun
Also, twist was pretty noice
Kinda wish there would be more superhero shit during the end, like punching holes in people and shit, but loved this nonetheless
Just saw this and 10 Cloverfeild lane tonight. Both were great movies that washed the bad taste of BvS out of my mind, despite Cloverfeild's lackluster ending.
