When people say "I loved it. The cinematography was great." Do they actually know what they're talking about? I see a lot of posts in here and reddit saying it but do they actually know it's meaning? I just really doubt the fact that someone from reddit would know it
Most people haven't a clue about lighting, blocking, lens choice, colour grading etc.
When a Plebbitor says they liked the cinematography it means they thought the pictures was pretty.

Entry level pleb material is Tony's "Every Frame A Painting" on youtube where he analyzes more of the technical side of filmmaking like editing, shot compositions, camera lenses etc. He works as an editor irl so he actually makes quality content on there.
