The objective is to shape public opinion with the assumption that everyone needs "educating" and are too dumb to pick up on the flagrant advertising of their agenda. In this case, it was a short throwaway scene and it still took me out of the movie. The battles of the japs were not that good to put in a show no. Mostly consisted of 2 lines shooting arrows at each other until a few of the chingching clan stepped forward because they hated the niggs of the dada clan because they allegedly raped their grand mothers neighbours dog and that touched their honorue. They fight a bit which didn't last long and that went on for a while with other smaller samurai challenging samurai of the other line.
I'd take vikings ramming Christians heads in with axes any time. Even the chinks had more interesting shit during the warring states than the japs. But Fuck do I love shogun 2.
