ITT: film villains you were rooting for
mel gibson from expendables 3

Batman in BvS

>implying Superman wasn't the villain
Gerad in Law Abiding Citizen.
The "amusing" thing about this film is, you're supposed to sympathise with him and then, you need to be
>"oh no! he's gone too far! he's become a bad guy! Please stop this man Jamie Foxx"
That point was when he kills the blonde assistant, but moviegoers didn't care. They wanted him to win.
And the movie ends in a stupid mess, as this super smart brain Q like character's final elite plan... is to put a bomb in a briefcase and leave that bomb in the middle of a room.

Fucking this so much. I was loving the movie until the end.
I can't think of a worse ending a movie has ever had than Law Abiding Citizen.
>>68011768
You see, this guy gets it.
>>68011737
did anyone ever rooted for Jamie Cuxx?
he's totally unlikable for me
>>68011737
Same. It made no fucking sense that he left the warehouse open for double crossing info on stockings data, or even that his final plan was something as simple as that. Everything he did was so carefully planned until the end. It's so shoehorning it's bullshit. I even made a headcannon where he's charlie/whatever the internet guy is called and that at the end he wanted to die all the time, and actually reverse manipulated them into killing him just so that his genius wouldn't be wasted in such a shit tier plan like the briefcase one. Christ, it was CSI's hack-the-world-i-double-crossed-all-USA's-fingerprints tier.
On a second note, i fucking loved the solitary scene.
>nigger foxx handles him the photograph of his family
>''You think they'd like to see what you're doing now?''
In my experience with movies i was expecting this to be a cheap remorse inducing scene and then suddenly Clyde would feel guilty/remorseful, then suddenly
>''My wife and daughter can't feel anything. They're dead.''
Really loved the guy. RIP Clyde, one of the best ''villains'' of modern movies.

The guy who makes the fire rise in The Dark Knight sequel.
Gotham was a corrupt cesspool and it needed to be irradicated, both the scum of the streets and the crooked politicians/those in power. Even Jim Gordon committed felonies and broke the constitution, something government officials swear they won't do.
The only problem that I had with Bane was that he planned on killing innocent women and children. Besides that, I was rooting for him the whole time.
Baneposting memes more than welcome btw

These.

Can you not?

>I even made a headcannon where he's charlie/whatever the internet guy is called
I tried to forget that part exists, although I like this headcannon, it's the goddamn definition of a deus ex machina
an email from someone we've never seen, or met, but ends the villain's plan, gets him killed and finishes the movie, what the fucking fuck?
Goddamn, was there a writers strike when this script was 8/10ths complete or something?
>"We need to finish the film... have some guy send an email which gives away the plan... and the final big scheme could be a bomb in a suitcase!, done!"
>>68012029
Ha! Another film with Jamie Foxx in it with people rooting for the bad guy.
Why does Foxx suck so much?
>>68012070
I don't know, but I hate him for cucking Tom Cruise irl. He's apparently shagging Katie Holmes with his BBC and Tom's daughter Siri is gonna grow up listening to black music.
Also rooted for pic related.
>>68011737
Heard that Jamie only agreed to be in movie if he was the winning good guy. Original ending was Gerald Butler killing them all and suiciding at home
bruce willis in the jackal

Every film
>>68010305
JCVD in expendables 2. stallone does a good job at making him and his buddies insufferable
>>68011959
>only did it because he was cucked by the real villain
Your arguments are invalid
>>68013021
>have a damn good amount of cash for the time
>get slave to help you kill two more bounties
>he wants you to help free his slavefu
>doesn't just go and buy her freedom so it's on paper and indisputable
Christoph Waltz and his "I'll only do another film with you if I'm 100% good guy" bullshit.
This guy in 2012. He's not really a villian but is portrayed as an officious twerp. He was however 100% correct in everything he did, everyone else was letting their emotions get in the way and possibly doom mankind whilst he was the only one acting rationally.
He even let his own mother die because he knew the survival of the human race was paramount. It was shown clearly that he deeply loved her but he couldn't waste scarce resources on an elderly woman.
Guy was totally unselfish and totally based imo
>expendables 4 is underway
>dredd 2 isn't happening
thanks reddit!
