>I wish I Knew That Feel: The Motion Picture
Have you ever seen a film so comfy, it made you uncomfortable afterwards? Moonrise Kingdom made love to my feels, took its innocence, then left it battered and screaming on the floor.
Why is it so beautiful, bros?

I didn't understand the feel at the time I saw Moonrise Kingdom, but I would a few years later.
Funny enough, in the same theater where I saw it.
I wonder what she's up to now.

I don't know but its irrelevant. No actual life is as idyllic as wes anderson's romantic lore.
I loved it so much I saw it twice in theaters the same weekend it came out. I think I've watched it half a dozen times since then. Even the most cynical, 2k16 people I know start to vibrate at the harmonic and feelquency from Moonrise Kingdom.

It really is a gorgeous movie. I remember getting a similar feeling from Submarine and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
I feel Her has a similar effect
Spectacular Now. Looks like your basic preteen drama, actually comfiest shit ever. It was exactly like the relationship I had at the time.

>I wish I knew what having a pubescent relationship was felt like
>that leads to us both attempting suicide
I imagine it felt kind of bad and not something they were ready for emotionally.

I liked both of those, but the fantastical elements of that movie reduce the impact for me. Moonrise Kingdom is the most plausible of Anderson's films and yet its the most mythic and unattainable. I think its the most sincere emotionally of all his films, and probably a statement of what motivates him.

Go back to double x chromosome you wanton slag.

I liked it until they got recaptured by their parents. then the movie disintegrates into a typical tangle of quirky characters and subplots that don't develop properly like most Wes films.

I don't think the narrative gets sidetracked at all. Its more like a traditional adventure movie, like Casablanca, where the roguish hero is spirited out of danger by various allies in the grayer part of the underworld.
