Sometimes his powers seem to transfer to stuff he comes into contact with. Think the Pong machine in his cellar. Normal Pong doesn't work that fast. Also, wouldn't his clothes catch on fire if there wasn't some force field protecting them from air friction? I think it's the same with the cassette player.
