ASM2 had its really good moments (mostly in regards to Spidey and Gwen), but also quite a lot of shit to wade through (the Richard Parker nonsense, the Osborn family, the blatant and clumsy future-film set-up that ended up amounting to nothing). Spider-Man 2 was more consistently good, even if it's a bit dated compared to today's superhero movies.

This is a good date film, nothing more. ASM2 was decent but bloated, and needed some changes. Get rid of paul G, and Foxx character was shitty.

Spiderman 2 was the most glorious and amazing spiderman film to date, with the first one being a classic and the 3rd being ironically beautiful. Literally shoot a shotgun shell into your bollocks if you think the amazing series was good, they were spiderman watered down for mainstream audiences, pharrell fucking helped with the soundtrack. The original spiderman series was kino of the highest callibre.
