what did they mean by this>?
>First time.
So you're some underage baby born in 01' or something, I take it?
I wonder what this new Mummy will be like? Whenever I see Tom Cruise I see a Scientologist, I can't take him seriously as a human being anymore. I haven't watched a movie with him in about 10 years

Let the boy enjoy his kino

From what I can tell this is supposed to be like some of those classic 30's serials but with "modern" effects.
The 90's were a simpler time.
>>67914999
>Nice digits
its a loose remake of a 30's movie
>>67915062
Yeah, that's what I'd heard. Entertainingly silly, in any case. Loves me some old-fashioned adventure.
>>67914827
Hot damn.
>55%
Fucking why

I hated ageism related elitism when it was used against me when I was underage on this site, like 10 years ago, but now that I've aged, I understand the motivation behind it. I get revolted by the fact that youngfags today didn't grow up on SNES/64 like me, didn't experience dial-up, and didn't experience seeing the Mummy/Matrix/Phantom Menace at the movies in 99' or whatever. The 00s were pretty fucking awful, and I can definitely say that the 90s were comfier, and I wish I was older so I could've better experienced them.

>children will look back on the 00's with nostalgia
A travesty. There is literally nothing good about the 2000's
>>67915239
>tfw '96
There wasn't much good that came out of this generation, was there?
>>67915372
Im afraid not brother
>>67915239
It's literally the worse time. Beginning of autotune music. Beginning of capeshit craze and everything green screen. Sharing too much information on social networking sites. Everyone is self important now and staring at a fucking phone while hanging out somewhere with you/having dinner. God that shit is annoying.
I don't belong in this era.

Bear in mind this is what people much older than you say about the time you grew up in, and what people you're older than now will say about others in the future. Don't fall into the nostalgia trap bros.
>>67915429
>I was born in the wrong generation!
>>67915429
I used to think this way.
For better or for worse, however, I was born into this generation. No sense in dwelling on a past I'll never experience.
Also this movie's pretty great so far.
>>67915154
>all that
I just hate them because they're cunts
>>67915239
9/11 was pretty rad

I love how the revolvers here have unlimited ammo
>>67915429
try and go back and actually watch year by year the movies of the 80s/90s without cherrypicking and you're going to have to wade through a lot of shit to ge to the good parts, just as in the 2000s.
>>67915239
>>67916908
2bh, 2010s are fairing better than the 2000s
>>67914245
>when you were growing up and you assumed that there were endless of movies, books and tv-series in the same genre so you were just bathing in bliss, watching them as you were reading The Phantom and playing Lego Island with the egypt levels and Tomb Raider until you suddenly started to struggle to find more of those goodies
>mfw good adventure movies reminiscent of pulp magazines are basically limited to Indiana Jones and the first Mummy movie

The Adventures of Tintin was good at capturing that spirit, imhotep.

Yeah I forgot to include that one. I do enjoy the old cartoons, but the movie didn't do much for me, though it did touch some of that magic I suppose. I did used to watch the phantom movie as well, but I could only enjoy it then , I'm pretty sure it would be terrible today.
