even this movie has a better opening title sequence than most today. it actually gets you pumped for the movie. the movie's quality is beside the point.
ASIDE the point

i listened to that soundtrack just a few days ago and i can't remember what any of those tracks sound like.
>>67838771
You have a shit memory then
>>67838616
wonder woman's theme
>POUNDING DRUMS IN THE BACKGROUND
>the same few notes repeated over and over for 4 minutes.

11 years and nothing is as memorable as this OST. Sad.

Desplat is a pretty good recent composer. his godzilla theme was not too shabby.

>Is She With You?
>literally DISH DISH BASARA with dadrock guitar
>companies like Two Steps from Hell exist
>people think companies like Two Steps make good music
>people actually go listen to the mechanical compositions Two Steps produces
>people listen to it
>people actually sit and listen to basic ascending and descending four-note scales and give it their full attention like it deserves it
I wish we were back before 1910 and music didn't exist.
>>67840695
OP here. i've never heard of Two Steps from Hell, but the way you describe it makes me not want to check them out. i assume that's a good thing.
>>67840767
Can you remember the music from any of these?
>>67840954
very little. the 2 star trek movies had pretty good music but it was composed by Giacchino.
It's actually crazy that when I saw that image with the ? I immediately thought of that movies theme, despite not seeing in in probably a decade. Not even a great score. But like you said...memorable.
>>67841107
look up the movie's opening titles. legit exciting and actually fools you into thinking the movie will be amazing.
>>67840954
No Country didn't have music during the movie, did it?
>>67841319
The trailer did.
>>67838616
Wierd, those are my exact top 3 peices from the movie too
> beautiful lie > This is my world > is she with you
Imo
>>67841319
That image says for trailers.
>>67838616
3rd one is boss
Movie soundtracks have gotten linearly better for the most part
>>67838616
do these songs (without the guitar) in movies have a genre name?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIyRXvHmXxo
Movie soundtracks are having the same problem CG/VFX is having: the software to make a production-quality product is so widespread that every tom, dick, and harry can dumb some braindead music/effects into their flick and call it a day.
Good soundtracks and good CG/VFX still exists and can still be easily found, it's just that there's so much more of the low-quality junk that you're noticing it.I still enjoy shitposting about it however.the Trex escape scene in Jurassic Park was a good shot, but the CG ruined it

i dont remember the music from this flick

Yes.
killzone 3 has a fantastic intro as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQGh4dy1cCA

Vast majority of tron legacy was from daft punk.
no clue what two steps did for the movie
>>67838436
>implying remixing Danny's Batman theme and his own Alien 3 cues is passable in any way
Dick beats up the thugs literally, I mean LITERALLY to the same industrial techno shit Ripley almost got raped to in the junkyard scene, for fuck's sake.
Goldenthal's a hack.

It says right there in that image that they only did music for the movie's trailer, not the movie itself

it's a good trailer.

I like Lex theme.

because the music industry is dead
>>67842227
The Lex theme was very good. Even with all the other things going on with that movie, they did great on the music.
>>67842500
only when you're 12. bitch like a child and that's how i'll treat you.
>>67842557
the music industry being dead is a good thing
music should be valued based on it's quality, not how much some bigwigs decided to spend on advertising.
>>67842457
m8 even if I was willing to humor your shitty dc, two steps music is not composed for specific movies, they are generic tracks sold to studios that purchase the right to feature them in various ads.
you can safely stop the memeing now
