Yeah the only person who does the right thing throughout the movie is maybe Da Mayor. However, starting the riot was probably the right thing to do as it provided a means for the black community to express their displeasure without hurting anyone directly. A human life is more important than property.

What an amazing film, it's in my mind one of the greatest American films.
