It was more a romantic sitcom about Clark Ken and Lois than a Superman show. Of course Superman appears here and there to save the day. Very comfy indeed, and surprisingly a very accurate cast. My favorite Superman actor.

This is seriously my favourite live-action adaptation of Superman. While definitely not perfect, it seemed to understand what Superman is about. There was simply a lot of humanity and sincerity to it that other versions, except the first Richerd Donner movie, lack.
Granted, the action parts were kind of shit, they did a lot of goofy crap and there was a significant lack of other material (such as villains) from the comics, but on a basic level, it captured the "essence" of Superman, even though it wasn't really a "faithful" 1:1 adaptation.

Also, Batman vs Superman was bleak as shit even if Superman didn't kill people. It's pretty far from All-Star Superman (which is honestly one of the best written Superman stories and I wish they'd stolen from it when making Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman).
