Hardcore teenage bullshit.
baby's first non linear narrative
watch Mulholland Drive and realize how shit DD is
A decent film with some good performances. It was everyone's favorite movie when they were 14 - 16, so now everyone pretends to hate it.

a good movie.
at first i hated itwhen i was a young teenand have rewatched it 10+ times since
it gets alot better each time i promise.
Enemy is a absolute mindfuck i cant rewatch that.

it's honestly so depressing to meet someone who thinks this movie is clever. the worst thing is that they are often people who seem quite smart, but display a lot of signs of credulity that makes you realize they would be impressed by any movie that presented itself as intelligent. I generally try to change the subject ASAP.

yikes

This.

>non linear
It literally went forward with slides stating the date
>>67763628
Enemy's not that confusing. It's structured like Mulholland Drive without the last 20 minutes to explain the events that led to the protagonist's fractured mental state.

donnie darko was the shit when i first saw it as a teenager. i watched it a dozen times back then.
however, after listening to the director's commentary i realised, what a weird guy he is and how bad the movie is at communicating his ideas.
also, the cinematic cut is kind of a butchered version of the movie that makes it absolutely impossible to understand the director's intention.

its funny i never watch the directorys ommentary i feel it ruins the mystique as a audience member.
Crackhead director shits nonsense onto film. The tone is pretty great, but the plot makes no fucking sense whatsoever. The deeper you look into the plot (by reading the book, directors cut, interviews, e.t.c.) the less sense it makes

One of the rare case in which the producer makes the movie better by cutting shit out off it, fuck the DC

I love this movie. Even though it's bad it's so entertaining. That scene was so nice.
This one was also fucking great:

Any movies like this/nightcrawler? I really enjoy movies with such good atmosphere and tone.
It's legitimately a 10/10. There's almost nothing else like it in terms of mood and atmosphere.
