don't give a fuck about whatever political statements or propaganda that may be involved. irrelevant to the impact of the movie, personally. it was the most brutally empathetic depiction of extreme psychological tragedy, captured what it's like to experience a severe moral injury as some ptsd experts now call it, and the following psychotic break, or loss of the "big other" from psychoanalysis standpoint-- never seen a better depiction. my guess is those who strongly dislike or don't get this movie have never really experienced personal tragedy.
