Is it really that bad?
Many consider this episode the rift between golden age Simpsons and Current era Simpsons. There are still plenty of good episodes after this, but they came at a lower rate.
This episode in particular felt lazy and it's plot did not fit the current run of the show.

To me it's when you dish upon a star. I grew up with the show but I remember that episode being the first time I felt it had clearly lost something.
