An American Werewolf in London
That video with the twins, and one of them is pregnant. Or Sakura Sakurada meets her mom.
Donnie Darko probs
Hour of the Wolf. I'm sort of a patrician lol
Jurassic Park. That rain, man.
All the sounds and sound design put me in a good place. There are heavier-hitting methods of getting nostalgia, but JP is like a steady IV drip of it while it's on.

Army of Darkness
Any Star Trek film.
White Chicks

Honestly think it is a very underrated film and people went into it not wanting to like it because it was a Dreamworks sequel. Honestly one of the best animated films in recent years.
Iron Giant
Forrest Gump
Die Hard movies
Terminator movies
slasher movies (friday 13th, Elm st, Halloween etc)
Harry brown (depressing as fuck)
Breakfast club
Black hawk down
The King of Kong.
Good question op, I don't know.
Commando
Office Space.
It's like, the only movie that is still on my ps3 hardrive. So when I can't be bothered to watch netflix on the couch, i just put that on.
No Country for Old Men
I really like watching the scenes where characters are performing different tasks with their hands (e.g. sawing down the shotgun barrels, bandaging wounds, retrieving the briefcase with the tentpoles, disassembling the pistol, and a bunch more I can't remember). It's one of the ways the Coens really succeeded in translating McCarthy's writing to film I think.
The Cuckold
Apocalypse Now
I don't know why but it's a very comfy movie pour moi.
The Shining
Fargo
And pic related.

i've always loved the original kung fu panda, but i checked out the sequel a few weeks ago, and it was so much better than the first. really surprised me
Why would I watch a movie more than once?

Or wanting to share it with others.

The Pianist

I don't think I have one single go-to title, but there's a couple of movies I re-watch frequently:
(in no particular order)
Jurassic Park
Terminator 1 & 2
Alien(s)
Back to the Future
Die Hard
Jaws
The Thing
Blues Brothers
Caddyshack
Galaxy Quest
Starship Troopers
What the fuck OP! Spoil that shit.
The Lego movie
I know it's childish but fuck that shits funny every time.

This scene was genuinely beautiful, probably my favorite in any animated film. The use of 2D animation mixed with the 3D really worked IMO.

if i want dumb laughs Superbad, Anchorman, Wedding Crashers
if i want some gore Zombie/Day of the Dead, Return of the living Dead, Evil Dead II/III

Do I need to watch the series to enjoy the movies? I think i've seen enough to know the characters, but would I just be missing too much by not having prior knowledge of their situations and no emotional connection to the characters?
>>67674700
This should be me, I always tell myself to rewatch it because it was so enjoyable but I always go with something else.
I tend to put on Synecdoche NY or Eternal Sunshine when I'm bored though.
>>67676130
I never seen any Star Trek, but even I know the films are shit. Why wouldn't you just watch the show?
>>67670521
When it's up to me to pick a movie I'll usually say children of men. People will think it's going to be weird, then be pleasantly surprised.

Long running tv shows are too much of a time commitment
Probably Strange Days or Near Dark.
Raising Arizona if I need something lighthearted.
Dazed and Confused
Empire Records
River's Edge
The Shawshank Redemption
The American President
No country for old men

Word, this is also my go to film. Not my favorite, but the scenes with llewelyn setting up the tentpoles when you weren't sure what he was planning to do, that and the general action makes this supremely rewatchable.

This movie boggles my mind.
The Rock was OBVIOUSLY supposed to be Doomguy, right?
He's the biggest badass, he's fucking The Rock, he gets the BFG
/vr/ here, and I fucking played so much Doom that Doomguy's faces are ingrained in my subconscious, and The Rock makes EVERY SINGLE ONE at some point in the movie. It's OBVIOUS Dwayne did his research and was fully prepared to make it an incredible performance. When he dies he even exclaims "I'm not supposed to die!"
What fucking happened? Did Corporate step in halfway through and shitcan the whole movie? Did Carmack drop the ball? I know he was related in some capacity but I don't know off the top of my head what that entailed.
Doom, the Movie boggles my mind because it has all of the pieces of being a really cool and good video game movie but things seem awkwardly out of place frequently.
Like they have the character who is a religious fanatic. Alright cool. We also have one who is a hedonistic asshole. Alright neat. We have one kid who's a fucking drug addict. I get it. Why is that character a religious fanatic if the monsters aren't Demons? Why have a hedonistic asshole if the monsters don't come from Hell? Why have ANY glaring character flaws that relate to sin and debauchery if the monsters aren't from Hell?
Everything about the Doom movie screams corporate intervention to me and it pisses me off.
