Am I the only one who doesn't like the volume level while at the theater for some movies? I swear they crank it up to max level. I don't like how the ground rumbles any time during an action scene.

Yeah, I find it a little loud as well.
>>
My fucking ear drums near exploded to the sound of Captain America's shield hitting shit in Age of Ultron.
>>
I like it loud but not permanent ear damage loud.
So yeah I wish they would lower it a little.

High volume plebs are the fucking worst. Seriously what does it do for you. Not everything is meant to sound like a fucking explosion.

DUDE JUST TURN YOUR COCHLEAS OFF BRO

i find the volume varies between theaters so maybe just find one you like...definitely in some action movies its just too much

Was it always this loud or are my ears just getting sensitive over the last few decades?

kek

but honestly, i think it depends on your local cinema. i've got several <5 miles from me and it's always different.

i doubt most major cinemas rarely cross the threshold to cause serious hearing loss. i'm pretty sure they have spl meters or rating per movie so they know whats acceptable or not.

PLUS when has anyone ever actually fucked up their ears from a cinema being too loud? the sound of air in your ears from the freeway can actually cause more permanent damage than most other general loud noises.

Maybe you should go to one of the autism friendly screenings, it's a lot quiter and they have the lights on so it isn't flashing as much.
