It executes everything it set out to do flawlessly. Its got a great switchup from mercenaries in the jungle to a monster movie/slasher flick where the most badass dudes on the planet are getting picked off like highschoolers would in a normal slasher movie. The cast is great, the effects are phenomenal and have aged like fine wine, the creature is one of stan winston's bests, and that's saying something. The pacing is great, so is the tease of the monster, with an amazing reveal.
