While he can "see" with his superpowers, he literally cannot see with his eyes.
He still can't see people's faces or what they look like. He knows the weight and height of people which helps him identify them. And he can't read without feeling the ink on the paper, he can't watch videos, his senses can get distorted easily leaving him vulnerable. There's a shitload of things he can't do because of his blindness.
