Burton created campy fun where nobody gives a flying shit about Bats ideology, he's fucking Batman and here's there to kick ass and save people- its a simple action film. Whereas BvS wants you to do the Watchmen thing and look into all these characters, their "meaning" and motivations, and it seems silly that Superman is getting shit on for causing collateral damage and killing people whereas Batman gets a free pass for reasons the film doesn't really illuminate very well.
