Are movies better if you watch them in a theater?

The experience is fundamentally different. I'm a firm believer that some movies can be enhanced by being watched at a good cinema.
I like to watch the larger action movies in the theater as the sound is really the biggest difference
i also like watching the more fun movies with an audience so I can be an americlap but more often than not i am more irritated at the people sitting next to me
if its something quieter I think watching in silence at home ist best

if you are a poorfag with a shit TV and sound setup, then yes.
>go to a movie theater for the first time since 2011
>the seats are like 4x the size they used to be
>they have tables to order drinks and food
>there's even more munching and crunching
>people really can't 90 minutes without stuffing their face
Truly an awful experience
>go to movie theater
>get surrounded by pop corn farts

>go to see a movie alone for the first time (zootopia oc course because no one wanted to watch it.)
>literally the only person in the whole theater-room
because it was midweek
>no one standing up or munching or anything
Absolutely amazing.

Some movies have to be experienced in a theater.
Off the top of my head:
>Speed Racer
>Elysium
>Interstellar

>Nymphomaniac
>Blue is the Warmest Color
>Jagten
>the best movies to see in a theater are horror movies
>modern horror movies draw the worst fucking crowd imaginable
I seriously have to go at like 9am on a weekday if I want to watch a horror without kids laughing and shouting the whole way through. I went to a screening of Bone Tomahawk and the only other people in there were old and had nothing better to do. Shit was cash.

Here's the thing: Don't see a good horror movie in theaters, see a bad one. It's funnier that way.
