So im visiting family in brit-bong land.
Having sunday dinner with family after which we decide to watch james bond 007 view to a kill.
One scene where Zorin and his black hench-woman trap bond and his girl in an elevator which is petrol bombed above from zorin.
Bond climbs on to the fire ravaged elevator roof through a hatch.
To james bonds 007's horror the steel cables which operate the elevator are melting at a very alarming rate.
Under 3 Minutes easily.
What other films or tv programmes have instance's where steel has melted in a matter of minutes.

I was hoping this to be a Bond thread, but you want it to be about films where steel melts very quickly
this is my issue

He might have meant the spoof movie from the 60s with Orson Welles. Either way he's wrong.
>>67549369
it's a movie. they don't give two shits.
>>67548789
Crummy movie, but Walken makes it almost watchable.

e-mail me your details for the mega prize.

I don't believe steel would melt at the temperatures depicted. For steel to melt large amounts of aviation grade fuel would be required.
>>67549964
any films or programmes that depict this in a true and un-biased way?
>>67549337
The whole film is justified by Walken as Zorin
The new bonds suck, they've gone too far in the Bourne direction as a response to the Brosnan ridiculous stiff. Needs to find a good fun medium.
>>67550955
can we all agree
Timothy Dalton is the only bond without the dreaded comedy value bond. 2 bond movies that are pretty good flicks, and goldeneye was meant for him.
>inb4 goerge lazenby (does not count)
View to a kill is the best action/ comedy ive seen for years.

Steel doesn't have to melt to become structurally unsound.
