Best horror movie since The Shining. Finally someone realizes atmosphere makes horror movies, not scares.
>>
>>67407898
You're forgetting Trier's Antichrist
>>
>>67407898
Best horror movie is Jack & Jill. It was soooo bad it was scary, isn't that right Jay?
>>
Has it been released on bluray yet?
>>
>>67407898
Both of those are fucking awful.
>>
I literally yelled "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" when the movie ended
>>
It's a phenomenal movie. It truly weeds out the plebs from the intellectually mature.
>>
>>67407898
>babadook
>>
That's fucking insulting. This is like a shitty version of a modern day Shining.
>>
>>67408324
Should I watch this? It's been on my list but I keep hearing the word edgy in pertinence to it.
>>
>>67408462
Where was your handler?

>>67408485
Shining wasn't even scary.

If you're really that insecure about your taste in movies, than no, you shouldn't watch it.
>>
Black Philip
>>
Its Reddit-tier.
>>
So how many people had showings where people walked out? At least two people left when I went to see it, and from what I heard from a friend that was his experience as well.
>>
>>67409726

I was the only person in the theater when I saw it.
>>
>>67409726
One couple in my showing walked out in the last 10 minutes. Uncultured swine
>>
>>67409875
bet that led to it being even more atmospheric, did you like it?

Yeah, but don't forget another masterpiece...
>>
>>67412215
That movie was terrible and I was so hyped from the trailers for it
>>
>>67412215
babadook was boring af
>>
>>67412215
>first third of movie is generic horror film
>last 2/3rds is just depressing drama about mother and child
>>
Best part of the movie was the beginning, the kidnapping, the atmosphere, and black Philip
That's it
>>
Literally Ingmar Bergman Fanboy: The Movie but in this day and age that's the bets you could hope for. Especially out of a pure horror film.

>>
OP if you wanted people to talk about the movie you should've said it was total shit. That's how it works around here
>>
Torrent when?
>>
>>67407898
Pics of dat ass make it online yet?
>>
>>67412215
didn't like it

it follows was also shit

literally the embodiment of millennial horror
>>
>>67416107
seriously

why is there still no torrent?

it's been months
>>
>>67407898
How come only the kids and the audience could see the VVitch?
>>
Honestly, I didn't really enjoy this movie. I don't think it was bad, but I just found it boring. Atmosphere was pretty good tho.
>>
>>67407898
It was actually a piece of shit.
>>
/tv/ has the worst fucking taste in horror. Pieces of shit like you are why drive-ins died.
>>
>>67408874
I want more horror films with interesting unpredictable characters like this. Another reason why I liked the witch
>>
>>67407898

I really loved the setting and the family in this.

I want more of early settlers having to battle, tooth and nail, with the elements. That was the most interesting struggle I found in the movie.
>>
IS IT UP YET
>>
>>67409726
same. i think 3 people walked out together. i liked it tho.
>>
>>67418399
where the fuck is it?
>>
>>67413255
That's a decent chunk of the movie

>when its just 2016s babadook
>>
I've never once been more scared of any atmosphere or vibe in a movie than a run of the mill jump-scare
>>
If anyone thought the black goat wasn't a demon, they're fucking stupid.
>>
Anyone who thinks badadook and it followswas shit, liked this movie?
>>
>>67407898
OP, have you watched it a second time?
>>
>>67416220
>>67416107
What are you talking about? it's on TPB
>>
>>67409726
People walked out twice the second time I watched it, and it was empty the first and third times I went. That's generally how you know a film might actually have potential at being good if normies walk out of it
>>
>>67420170
People who say they can't find it never look. They wait for us to find it for them.
>>
>>67413255
> the seduction scene
> the ending
> the production design
> the fucking SCORE
> the subtext in the dialogue

There were a lot of good parts in it.
>>
>>67408462
Shhhh anon, not everyone at the theater needed to know you're autistic.
>>
> TFW plebs sitting around me were complaining that they couldn't understand the early modern English

Jesus Christ, it isn't that hard you fuckers, didn't you read Shakespeare at school?
>>
>>67413548
To actually have a director who is able to pull a style in the vein of Kubrick and Bergman sounds pretty awesome if you ask me
>>
>>67413964
yeah theyre all wrong and youre right ok
>>
>>67409726
>>67409875
>>67411057
There were 6 people in the theater, counting me and another friend

everyone yelled 'that was awful' when it was over

i think it was a great fucking movie tbqh
>>
I hope this thread is bait, but I bet it's not
>>
>>67420170
>>67420323
Check again, it's not.
>>
Yeah the atmosphere was good and spooky, but I was very disappointed in the lack of anything horror/scary. What's the point of having a creepy vibe to the film if nothing actually scary happens? I wasn't satisfied with the ending either since I'd have liked to see more of the witches.
