A decent late-period Spielberg movie trapped in the body of a horrible late-period Lucas movie.

It was like watching an uncomfortable reunion of a whole bunch of creators who haven't worked together in years and are trying to relive the glory days and everyone is just sort of awkward about it.

I liked a lot of it
But the bad stuff really took me out of the film and I'm a big Indy fan

Like I get that the movies always were unrealistic but nuking the fridge was really dumb
And the cgi gophers
And the alien looked dumb

I did like that it's setting and the Soviet psychic villain and that it was an alien artifact
But it just didn't work out fully. The original script seemed better

6.8/10 it had good shit lime the area 51 fights and the motorcycle chase but also had gay shit like the claustraphobic jungle chase and cartoony fireant shit

Marginally better than Doom which was a 6.5/10
