Borderline personality disorder makes sense if you consider her rapid mood changes and attachment/worship of the writer.
I remember King saying that she was at least bipolar, or suffering from cyclical depression, in his book On Writing. It's obviously not the only thing(s) she suffers from though.

Closer you could get is around perversion but that would still be a stretch.
It's like shutter island, it's not accurate.
It's conveniant to what the original creator desired to write about but they are characters, not peoples, they have inconcistencies that make it impossible to draw a "correct" personality.
