Are there some valid examples? Certainly. But a lot of the ones on that list are twisted to fit the idea to increase the impact of viewing the page, rather than organically categorized.
Labeling things is important, they are considered an authority and they are not even close and are often less accurate than a vandalized wikipedia page.

It has it's uses, unlike facebook. But yeah, most people use it for dumb shit and waste of time. I use it for keeping up with science as it's the go-to way of keeping track of conferences and new science. For example, astronomers use it cause it's the fasted way to communicate an event to the most amount of people, so they can point their telescopes at said event. Works well for that.

I don't even understand what you're getting at here. Are you saying that multiple authors have killed gay people and not killed some straight characters? Or are you saying that the list is comprised of entries from multiple people who edit the wiki-esque pages? If the former, my issue lies with the fact that they feel the need to make suppositions about WHY the cliches exist with no evidence. This show didn't kill characters because they were written inconveniently or they weren't testing well or they wanted to have an emotional impact on the audience, no, they got killed because they were gay.

It's not so much that they shouldn't be allowed to kill them, it's that it would be nice of once in a while they didn't. Making a TV character bi or lesbian is like a ticket to the graveyard. Autostraddle's list of Dead TV Lesbians has grown to 135, and really, how many more lesbians have there been on TV? Maybe twice that many, to give each of the dead ones a partner? The list of lesbian characters with happy endings must be considerably shorter, if one were to compile such a thing.
As for the situation with The 100, it illustrates that if you see a market as worthwhile enough to target, you shouldn't view them as inconsequential to alienate, and if you fuck up, digging the pit you're in deeper won't help you get out.
