Memes aside, that whole opening scene is so bizarrely done. The whole method they have of bringing the velociraptor into the Park is just so convoluted and stupid.
>>
>>66992983
That's how it's actually done with large predators in Zoos. The cage wasn't secured properly however which allowed the gatekeeper to fall when it shifted.
>>
>>66992983
It's setting up that overall Jurassic Park was poorly thought out with the more violent and intelligent dinosaurs, also Hammond is too naive and greedy to destroy them.
>>
>>66992983
How would you go about putting a dinosaur into a zoo, faggot?
>>
>>66993217
Hammond isn't particularly greedy in the film, and that opening scene is original (the book version is a Costa Rican teenager getting mauled in ambiguous circumstances, told from the perspective of the doctors treating him.) I got from it that it was more pointing towards that they didn't know the true capabilities of what they were making. That cage should have been too heavy to be moved by one creature, but they had no way to actually know how strong a Raptor was until then.

What did he mean by this? Was there a sniper?
>>
>>66993332
I think he was recommending a Mark wahlberg film to them
>>
>raptors too dangerous to let into park
>have to be kept seperate and not on the tour

So why did they keep making them?
>>
>>66993375
Most likely it was Muldoon that insisted on them being isolated. Hammond seemed to take them very lightly.

The original plot ended with Muldoon making a 7 foot vertical leap onto a helicopter

Also, did they ever even mention how the animals didn't die due to the lysine contigency?

>did they ever even mention how the animals didn't die due to the lysine contigency?

It was in the plants the herbivores ate or some shit.
The Carnivores ate the herbivores so they got it too.
>>
>>66993272
Think Operation Dumbo Drop but with a Trex
>>
>>66994362
The Raptors weren't mean to be seen, they were locked up because htey were too dangerous but Hammond wouldn't let Muldoon destroy them.

As for Lysine, the Herbivores got it from Soy Beans, and the Predators got it from the Herbivores. It wasn't perfect though so Site B had an extremely short life expectancy for the dinos, pretty much all of the Raptors die off in early adulthood which leads to their extremely aggressive behavior, they're basically socially maladjusted.

that was stated on Site B to have happened

Past the first movie nothing else was ever stated about Isla Nubar nor its animals until 4.

>JP1 happens
>no plants to help stabilize the lysine deficiency so they were all supposed to die
>animals on Isla Sorna survived due to plants native to the island helping them overcome it
>JP2 and 3 happen there and Island is made into a protected site
>JP4 recons to Woo and Ingen came in at some point after JP1, salvaged what they could and managed to capture the Trex
>>
>>66994569
4 isn't Ingen, it's their competitor, the people Nedry was working for.
>>
>>66994594
Ingen still controlled the island and had the funds to run a salvage operation.

Hammonds cunt son not ever mentioning having the Trex that slapped Ians shit could quite easily boil down to it being tied up figuratively in red tape and it just be easier to go to site B and catch another.

Theres also the Telltale game that might or might not be canon to the movies, I've heard both.
>another doctor managed to come up with a cure to the lysine contingency and introduced it to the water supply of the island
>end of the game island was firebombed but the Trex was on the far side of the island at the docks.

Read somewhere that there is a shot cut every 2-3 seconds on average during the scene, which is a shit ton.
