I don't know what the fuck I just watched, but it was fucking amazing. This was the first Lynch movie I've seen, what should I watch next?
Blue Velvet

Why retreat back to capeshit once you've already graduated Kino. OP should watch Inland Empire. Velvet is IMDB trash.

>I don't know what the fuck I just watched
Seriously? Was it that hard to figure out thatthe first part was a dream, and the last part was reality?
Most of Lynch's movies are great, but the only Lynch film that really lives up to his reputation for making weird, confusing shit is Inland Empire
>>66956618
Inland Empire and Twin Peaks

Silly goy, unable to analyse content beyond the superficial.
Lynch only has a reputation for "weird, confusing shit" with the philistine pleb.
Anyway, the companion piece to Mulholland Drive is Lost Highway, though it is perhaps slightly more challenging than the former.

No. Always watch Inland Empire last.
>>66957400
This. Inland Empire is only for the true Lynch heads. It's the final boss of Lynchdom. Only watch Inland Empire if you've
a.) Watched all his other movies
b.) Are accomplished at transcendental meditation
c.) are connected to the moon (in some way)
d.) Chain smoke and drink coffee all day
Otherwise it's not for you. Pleb

you weren't ready
watch
blue velvet > wild at heart > the straight story > lost highway > fire walk with me > the elephant man > eraserhead > inland empire
lost highway and eraserhead are his best. the elephant man will make you cry like a little nigger if youve never seen it before.
i think thats a good order
What was the point of that diner scene, where that creepy guy freaks the shit out of that other dude?
I hated it. I mean I love Twin Peaks but this was just unwatchable. Weird dialogues and awkward acting. This is probably the highest rated worst movie I've ever seen
>>66956618
Lost Highway is the best answer, although part of me always wants to direct people to Fire Walk With Me. Inland Empire is fantastic but genuinely challenging, more so than MD or LH.
Have fun!
>>66959173
It's about dreams. Dreams are not always logic.
>>66956618
Watch Twin Peaks, then Fire Walk With Me, then The Missing Pieces. Whatever you do, do not watch Inland Empire before you watch all the other Lynch stuff.
Rabbits and Eraserhead are amazing too.
>>66956618
I really don't like MD, even though I love other Lynch movies. Seems like a movie that uses too many words to say too little to me.
>>66956618
>I don't know what the fuck I just watched, but it was fucking amazing.
we all know that feel OP
The Fly
Wild at Heart
Naked Lunch
>>66957400
this so much. Inland Empire is the endgame of Lynch films. nothing tops it.
also, the patrician order is
>eraserhead, blue velvet, twin peaks, fire walk with me, wild at heart, lost highway, mulholland drive, inland empire
for all his other stuff(Dune etc.) order doesn't matter.
