If more people went to see NC-17 movies, then theaters would show them, and studios would make NC-17 movies. As it is now, theaters wont show them, which means less box office revenue which in turn means studios wont make them.

there is really no point to an NC-17 when theres an R rating. You have to be 17 or older to see an R movie and 18 - one fucking year older to see an NC-17 one.
