I've posted about this a few times here, but basically there's still only 10 hours of time for original programming a week, and people are going crazy. Few people have refused to work. There's also a writers strike.
Rob Thomas (not striking) is trying to get it greenlit for 2 new seasons. CW board said "It will depend on the performance of the Season 2 finale"
Rob is pissed about that because he originally wrote the script for a 22 episode season 2, but we're getting 19.
He says the finale wont match his vision. In other words, it might be shit, therefore the ratings will be shit, therefor no season 3 or 4.
It's on Hiatus because him and a few others are trying to change the terms of the renewal to something that doesnt hitch solely on the finale.
