The guy who plays Johnny is doing fucking fantastic, as is Cuba. Nathan Lane is also solid as always.

Completely disagree. He's doing extraordinary work, perfectly captures the well coifed affect of Shapiro and the LA celebrity lawyer set. Of course he's hamming it up, Shapiro himself was a character, they all were. It really fits.
I really hope this show doesn't start to be shit every week. They're reaching the half-way point and EVERY single Ryan Murphy show drastically changes at that point.
I don't think he had even a single line in the last episode.
