>I'm going to have to science the shit out of this

the fuck? Is there a more reddit movie than this one?
>>
>>66818095
That line is hilarious and has nothing to do with a specific website or webculture.

Deadpool, New Ghost Busters
>>
>>66818134
>That line is hilarious
correct, it's literally the best thing in the whole movie
>>
>>66818134
bro the humour used in the movie is Reddit/imgur tier
>>
>>66818191
muh le quirky geekiness

>I get to fly around like Ironman
>>
>>66818191
Nah, not really. The Martian is a pretty good movie to be fair, the best Ridley has done on a while. The one thing that really pisses me off is how he knows how to do all this stuff. He's literally a fucking Mary Sue. Every problem in the movie he solves. And not simple shit either, really complicated stuff which requires a very specialist knowledge. No problem for Matt Damon, he can solve anything.
>>
>>66818237
>>66818547
Using science as a verb for humorous effect is something that the ur-Internet would do. That's IRC and Usenet-tier humor.

You've sunk too deeply into tribalist edge. "The Martian" has nothing to do with a specific website or webculture.
>>
>>66818095
>Is there a more reddit movie than this one?

This shall forever be the correct answer.
>>
>>66818095
literally white privilege: the movie

all these world problems and shit and all that money and efforr spent to rescue this white boy
>>
>>66818573
americans do love their happy endings so there's that
>>
>>66819161
It's not really the ending, it's everything else. He seemingly has limitless knowledge of some very specific subjects.
>>
>>66819191
well not defending the movie but you know astronauts tend to know their shit, I mean humanity picked 8 people out of bilions to go to mars so you would expect them to be quite resourceful
>>
>>66818573
It's terrible

Not only is it incredibly boring, there are no stakes
>>
>>66819421
'No.'

the fuck? Is there a more /tv/-ruining shitty meme than this one?
>>
So, did he science the shit out of this?
>>

>>66818095
Mexican crew member
Asian lead engineer
Genius nigger
All working together to save the white male.

Is Ridley a jew?
>>
>>66818573
gee it's almost like they didn't allow idiots to go to Mars
>>
>>66819421
would you prefer an alien came by the hab to fuck his shit up?
God Dammit you people are fucking children.

The Force Awakens
>>
>reddit out in full force to defend their favorite movie

okay let me explain what we mean by reddit:

Its a general happiness about geek culture being mainstream and a lack of shame when feeling child-like enthusiasm

I watched this on a flight and with this line he said

"I'm going to science the spit out of this"
>>
>>66822522
what was "geek culture" in this movie?
>>
>>66818095
nice critique. not a shitposting thread at all. shouldnt be deleted

>durr science shit
>durr space pirate
>durr potato grown in shit
>durr wrong generation music
>>
>>66822844
so you dont want science and spacetravel in movies?
do you want modern popmusic in movies?
>>
>>66822105
This line is quintessential 'Science is awesum XD' mentality prevalent on reddit, mostly displayed by teenage fucktards who think they smart because they saw Cosmos (new one, with meme negro man)
>>
"im gonna science the shit out of this" is exactly the type of thing people who dont understand science but like to pretend they do and feel superior about their perceived knowledge would say

exactly the type of people who infest sites like reddit and 4chan, except in the case of the latter at least doesnt say the cringeworthy shit and is pseudointellectual at a slightly deeper level
>>
>>66818694
Ant Man was more reddit than this
>>
>>66822921
well I hate the new cosmos, but what is wrong with science? I dont think it is a reddit-only thing to be interested in science

>>

well, you heavily implied, that it is reddit (and therefore wrong) to think, that science is great
>>
>>66821947
>the fuck? Is there a more /tv/-ruining shitty meme than this one?

Nope. The console war with reddit is absolutely the worst thing about multiple boards on 4chan.
>>
>>66818134
No friend, that line was lame and dated before it was even uttered.
Please have your family pull the plug, grandpa.
>>
>>66822990
>exactly the type of people who infest sites like reddit and 4chan, except in the case of the latter at least doesnt say the cringeworthy shit and is pseudointellectual at a slightly deeper level

The irony is too much.

I never said science, I meant the people who 'love science' to add one more shallow quirk to their hipster personalities. Same people usually think science is a bunch of mad nerds blowing things up and building laser robots
>>
>>66823552
ahh, ok. So people who "like" sciencegroups on cuntbook and subscribe to "science"-channels on yt to feel like geeks, but when you ask them about something, they dont know shit. I know the type. Most of them dont even know, that they dont know shit
>>
John Carter was a better Mars movie.
