Dark comedy. This show gets dark as fuck. Sometimes like with rickety cricket getting raped by dogs and shit it's pretty fucking funny. But sometimes they push just a little too far, like I didn't think Mac letting the dog starve to death. I wanted to laugh when it was digging at the bowl but I knew what they were going for.

Cricket is one of the few thing about the show that I don't like. Everyone knows the gang are terrible people and they ruin people's lives. It just seems unnecessarily unpleasant to me to have a character that exists for the sole purpose of getting more and more fucked up through associating with them.
I think he worked fine in his first appearance as a way to demonstrate how low Dee was willing to stoop to show up a friend, but the continued fucking with him for no reason has never appealed to me. The show has much better running jokes.
