I really hated it to be honest. It just felt so ridiculous and constructed 4/10
>>
It sucked balls

Very entertaining. The character that rosamund constructs is a perfect stereotype. Great acting by Damon too playing the dumb husband.
>>
Potentially one of the greatest films ever made. Fincher is a genius, and so is Gillian Flynn (the author of the novel, for the uninformed). Really, I've never experienced something so masterfully crafted, it really plays with the audiences emotion like no other film can. The narrative structure is mind bogglingly clever, the performances were all A++ (even Tyler Perry's), the OST is heart-achingly beautiful. God damn it's just so fucking perfect. Fincher is, without a doubt, the greatest filmmaker of our time, and probably one of the greatest of all time. That fucking filmography man. Truly a goddamn masterpiece if I have seen one, and I have.

Bitches and whores.

Piece of trash.
>>
It's enjoyable for Pike scheming around, but I found the Affleck moments extremely boring. He's just sulking around for the entire movie.

/thread

Unlike Inarritu, Fincher doesnt have the subtelty to handle comedy elements.

Couldn't agree more, mate! Really sound analysis. Refreshing to see some actual intelligent critique here on /tv/.

Worth it just for Emy ratjakowaslky or what's her name's being a slut. Also Lola Kirke being white trash was great because I have a white trash fetish, 9/10 movie for me

It's pretty goood

Sweet titties. Book made more sense but it was still good
>>
I was genuinely unsettled by the fact that we got a screenful of Affeck's gyznoq but no clean shot of Pike's booblies in the same scene, never mind her knt. It made no sense! That aside it was an engaging tale and Affleck was great in his role, suitably sympathetic and likeable. The Fincher/Reznor dyad succeeds atmospherically again.

>be incredibly thorough and methodical with staging your murder/suicide
>carry literally all of your money around a loose fannypack that spills easily
>then walk around in broad daylight at a packed casino to meet NPH several days after your face is PLASTERED across the tv and social media

this shit was a glaring contradiction and shitty writing to me

Did anyone else really like this scene? I mean REALLY like it

I would have thought people had enough marital issues in real life than to want to experience it second-hand in a movie as well.
>>
I loved it, watched it a couple of times now, perfect movie for a boring, hungover sunday afternoon
>>
>>66749633

She wasn't as amazing as she thought, she was just a self centered sociopath
>>
>>66746034
I liked it a lot, it made Rosamund Pike my waifu.
>>
>>66749633
its okay though, because the author made sure to force the story where she wanted by claiming the media is responsible for all things.
>>
>>66747945
>making well thought out reasonable posts on /tv/
whoa hold up nigga
>>
>implying it wouldn't be really easy for him to plant a mic or camera anywhere within a few days after her returning home, have her spill the actual beans, and blow the whole media circus into a frenzy
>>
>>66747945
I don't think that we have seen the same movie ... or is this bait?
>>
>>66746034
I liked it. Surprised that Tyler Perry was actually decent in it too. He should take more roles like that.
>>
>>66750981
>reasonable
>dude literally claims it's one of the greatest films ever made
what are you smoking my friend?
>>
>>66750999
there was a literal mountain of evidence against her.

author just ignored it all though.
>>
>>66746034
The dialogue in this movie annoyed me so much, it felt so unnatural, like the writer was trying to show off how clever he thought he was in every line regardless of whether it was appropriate.
>>
>>66751123
it's the Sorkin syndrome
>>
>>66751123
written by a woman.

I'm saying his post wasn't just "fucking reddit xDD" like 90% of /tv/ is.
>>
>>66751269
That load of shit he wrote is actually worse than shitposting because he's serious
>>
Too many turns. Why did she do all that shit in the end, i didn't understand why ultimately except that the moral is that it was as normal as marriage is at the end of le day or something like that
>>
>>66751269
His post is just as worthless except at least the shitposts just take a second to read
>>
it was a great porn
