Lucas wrote most of the dialogue in Iambics, but none of the actors seem to notice. It's partly a directorial problem, but it's also the fact that he's using actors without a Shakespearean background.
Hayden's voice also isn't deep enough to make the Iambics significant.
I wonder if Rian Johnson is writing in iambs?

I feel the castings were good for the trio, Ewan looked like a younger Obi-Wan, Christensen and Portman looked believable as younger Luke and Leia's parents, just a lot of poor direction and dialogue. I'll say the delivery wasn't always great though, not all on Lucas.
