Are there any funny female comedians?
Kirsten Wiig is pretty great. Miranda Hart is obnoxiously British but also a very talented comic.

I like Aubrey Plaza but sometimes being hot takes the funny away from her.
And Ellen Degeneres can be funny.
That woman from Andy Samberg show, the one about the cops. That chick with the long nose. She's kindo of funny.
The four on the right are pretty good at comedy, specially Wiig and Byrne. McCarthy is obnoxious, but I'm sure is more due to her usual roles than her own fault.

Maria Bamford is hilarious in my opinion, but i can understand why some wouldn't find her funny.
In the past couple of years I've been seeing more actually funny female comedians. It's happening slowly but surely.

Sketch groups need a couple women, or you end up like kids in the hall where you have men playing female roles, and it isn't clear what the joke is.
I think she's more talented in that she'll go 100% in her delivery, like the female Ferrell. Not that she actually writes stuff. She's good in roles, but pretty average in interviews.

She's credited as the writer for 4 of the 125 episodes on Parks and Rec. She doesn't really have many other writing credits. Yes, she can still be contributing without be credited for it. But she's not like Tina Fey who actually got where she was by writing and then transitioned into acting.
