The vice president dropping out and going to one rally to become governor again is unrealistic. Season three should've been like an election season where FU has to debate his way in. A lot of creative writing and oh shit moments wouldve been better IMO.

Oh, come on, the way Frank seized the presidency was incredible! The fact that he was willing to double-cross and backstab the sitting president, and that he was willing to endanger the lives of millions of people to make the president look mentally unstable was one of the highlights of the show.

Season 1 was GOAT.
Season 2 had some serious issues, but it was still pretty good. It lacked actual moral characters like Russo. Frank's plan, where it had been so planned and controlled in season 1, was now just to fuck up Chinese/US relations to the point that he could get Walker impeached. They also fucked up by taking Lucas and Janine out of the picture and sort of replacing them with some no-named reporter no one cares about.
I didn't even finish season 3.

When it came out I thought it was the best one, but upon rewatch of the entire series, it became the worst for me.
The photography is fucking beautiful, better than the other two seasons, but the story isn't that enjoyable.
It hangs too much on the issue with Israel and Palestine, which is pretty much unsolvable. Also Russia. Pretty much everything that Frank and Claire set out to do (which is not much) goes south on them except for AmWorks, and most of it is their fault. Frank becomes reckless and a tyrant without making an effort to hide it. One could call it being blinded with power, but it feels out of character.
It's a frustrating season to watch compared to the other two. That's my own experience at least.

Season 3 was so fucking boring, everyone agrees. So naturally they'll be stuffing season 4 with big 'oh shit' moments to the point where we'll be too desensitised to care about its finale.
I love its Fincher aesthetic tho, will watch specifically for that
