What's his best movie?
the school of cock with jack blackcock
Bernie
Tropic Thunder
>>66587009
He was at his best in High Fidelity.
He did his best acting in King Kong
Bernie was his best movie.
Ebert was right, it is very good. Why no other critic understood that is beyond me.
>>66587009
I think School of rock. He was great in Tropic Thunder too =)

The original was shit tho. I know there's some respect for the classics, but the original King Kong is a curiosity of an age past and nothing more by this point. Shit, the acting in it was fucking awful. Not that Jackson directed a masterpiece or anything.
It's a very fucking stupid line anyway
He looks kind of like Sean William Scott in OP's pic

the ad with clooney
Pick of destiny.
>>66587148
absolutely. I didn't understand wtf he meant when he said it.
>>66587419
haha, good pick
>>66587148
I liked it desu. The way he said made it very memorable. First thing that pops into my mind when I think of that movie.
>>66587039
This, but jack black is in a surprising amount of good movies considering how casually goofy he is
>>66587419
Love that ad
>>66587020
I agree

>He did his best acting in King Kong
wasn't he high on acid through the entire making of that movie?
Pick of Destiny, LMAO WEED doesn't get better than that.
King Kong for actually good acting.
Is Goosebumps worth a watch?
Tropic Thunder, I usually dislike his antics and the fact that he is as one note as a fucking flat-top box but that was one movie where he was 100% appropriate. Mostly because his own style was ruthlessly mocked.
Be King Rewind was one of his earlier more unpolished roles, but the raw energy he brought was so good for the character

>COS ITS THE PIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!

24 years into his acting career
Bernie and School of Rock displayed his range the most.

That movie is such a unique oddity, it's makes fun of so many people in Hollywood, including the actors in the movie itself.
It's such a gem and it's a shame nothing like it has come out since.
>>66587877
>He hasnt watched Bernie
>>66587832
yeah, but it wasn't like he was going all out and trying to commit to character. it was pretty much just jack black in a costume with crazy hair riffing with mos def.
by unpolished i'm more referring to the amount of effort he went into to distinguish the part he was playing from the way most people would automatically perceive him, which to me seems negligible.
The Never Ending Story part 3

Did you read the books as a child?
Did seeing the trailer give you...goosebumps at the mere mention of the name?
Best movie with Jack Black in it:
The Jackal (1997).
He was pretty much unknown but he played a very good and memorable part.
Spoiler alert: Things end very badly for JB`s character. One of the best on screen deaths ever!
Orange County
NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mars Attacks
Saving Silverman
Jack Black was pretty much an unknown in "The Jackal" (1997). This is my favorite movie with JB in it...he played a minor role, but I immediately liked his character. Unforgettable scene with him and Bruce Willis (no spoiler here...if you have seen the movie you know what I'm talking about)!
