Stallone was amazing as Elder Sage Balboa. The Creed flashblacks were well placed and powerful. The boxing action was okay, but the training videos are great motivational clips (because Stallone was amazing).
Outside of that, Michael B Jordan was plain annoying as his cocky young gun self. No natural charisma or likability. Girl was equally too sassy to like most of the time.

It’s a way of paying debts to Stallone and to movie culture: Both have served Coogler’s own liberation — encouraging him to rise out of the black indie movie PC ghetto and join the larger world of cinema.
