Did he deserve a death that brutal?
>>
>>66468711
Yep, pretty much.
>>
Sure. A brutal murderer got what was coming to him.
>>
yup

mafia shame. Libera
>>
Yes, not sure about his brother though.
>>
>>66468711
In real life he was a horrific murderer, even beyond the things he did in the film. His crew ran hits for money before the mob moved him to vegas. his kill count is like 50+ and the ice-pick-to-the-balls torture really happened.

The police found dirt in his and his brothers lungs, so he was literally buried alive. And he deserved it.
>>
What show is this?
>>
>>66468711
He was sort of an asshole.
>>
>>66468711
link?
>>
REAL TOUGH GUYS YOU AND YOUR FUCKIN BROTHER
>>
yeah since he was already doing shit like stabbing people with pens and squeezing their heads in a vise until their eyes popped out
>>
>>66469011
always loved that line. just the visceral hatred these guys had for them even as they were beating them to death
>>
>>66469051
>the visceral hatred

Which makes that scene jarring as fuck, considering ever other scene before this they are all buddy buddy and partners in crime. Looping back to the Goodfellas meme that in the mafia, it's your friends who kill you. Made a pretty dark scene even darker, just the malice they are spitting at him, taunting them both.
>>
>>66468934
Its a movie, Casino
>>
Nobody deserves a brutal death, not even those who create brutal deaths.

An eye for an eye makes the world blind.
>>
>>66469144
Yeah that's one of my favorite aspects of the whole movie. Like the part of the Rising Sun montage when the bosses are talking about the one "good kid" who was a marine and would never talk to the authorities, and the one boss just says "Why take a chance?"

That's some retarded stay-at-home-mom logic right there.
>>
>>66469253
>>66469265
Ironic, considering that only edgy shut-ins are ever the ones that campaign otherwise

Violence is for faggots.
>>
This scene is difficult to watch.
>>
>>66468711
>getting cut off mid-narration with a bat to the head
Fucking genius! I doubt Scorsese came up with that on his own. It's so god damned perfect. He never sees it coming.

fedoric euphorism is for faggots

The brutal socipath, psychotic mobster who whacked 50+ people didn't deserve to be beaten half to death and buried alive? Pretty edgy m8.
>>
>>66468711
Why is Casino so great? I can't really watch Goodfellas through again if it's on TV but if Casino is on and I stumble upon it I will watch at least an hour, even if it's edited for TV. It's just so full of good scenes
>WHIP IT
>that scene in the desert
>anything involving the dumb yokel slot machine guy
>that cunt Ginger

again, how ironic
>>

This post is a fucking mess. Fedora euphoria and edgy truly have lost all meaning
>>
>>66469296
I agree with you that autistic internet tough guys who obsess over violence is very cringy but there's nothing wrong with killing a fucked up mafia hitman brute.

Suffocating him with his brother on the other hand....
>>
>>66469296
Actually if the world events and history are any indicator most people, when the chips are down, are just fine with violence.
>>
>>66469420
Casino is one of my favorite movies. I've seen it easily 50-100 times. Used to work as a security guard and would bring in all sorts of movies. Regularly found myself getting paid to watch Casino or the Sopranos for eight hours. A few times I even watched Casino twice in one shift. I admit I was struggling with my sanity at the time and have since made recoveries and improvements.

It doesn't matter what most people are fine with. I'm sure most people living today are fine with the prospect of humanity living it's course on this planet, rather than eventually colonizing the universe. People in general are too dense to make important decisions

deserved far worse for being such a despicable human being

eh, live burial is brutal enough
>>
>>66469420
I watched it too much and can't stand it anymore, the bit with his wife and kid drags on and isn't half as interesting as the rest of the movie.

Those were some horrible years, nothing like my teenage american comedies
>>
>>66469658
the parts with James Woods? the diner confrontation scene is GOAT. I also love to imagine an alternate universe where his role is played by Steve Buscemi when I rewatch it. I think it would have changed the movie in a different but equally as good way.

>but there's nothing wrong with killing a fucked up mafia hitman brute.

It is because they create another murder of the same caliber, and your twisted logic made it looks like it's full circle and that's fine.

Put it this way
>I torture and kill someone
>I deserve punishment
>Somebody kills me after torture
>I get my punishment

Now, the key here is what happen next.
Do you think the guy that did the same to me, also deserves punishment?
Or was his act justified and closed the circle?
>>
REEL TUFF GUIS YOU AN YA FUCKIN' BRUDA
>>
Go home and get ye shinebox
>>
>>66469723
what? it's not a circle like that at all. someone kills someone unsactioned, they get hit, that's it. the one who hit them doesn't die too.

in your example, what happens to the guy that killed you? nothing, because he killed you after it was decided that you SHOULD be killed for what you did. he punished you for what you did,.

what you're saying is it'd be like the cops throwing us in jail, then the gov't throwing cops in jail for throwing us in jail, then other countries throwing the gov't in jail...etc.
>>
>>66468711
up until that scene I wondered why they even bothered giving Frank Vincent that one narration scene. then it made sense.
>>
Pretty much
>>
>>66469847
>in your example, what happens to the guy that killed you? nothing
Why doesn't he get's punished? He did the exact same thing to me.

Cops represent the gov force of law enforcing and had general authority to do so. You don't. You thinking that is rigth for you to do such things, is why societies fall.
