In real life he was a horrific murderer, even beyond the things he did in the film. His crew ran hits for money before the mob moved him to vegas. his kill count is like 50+ and the ice-pick-to-the-balls torture really happened.

Casino is one of my favorite movies. I've seen it easily 50-100 times. Used to work as a security guard and would bring in all sorts of movies. Regularly found myself getting paid to watch Casino or the Sopranos for eight hours. A few times I even watched Casino twice in one shift.
