Django was good, idk why /tv/ hates it. Performances were good, characters were sharp, and the movie was memorable. Third act action fanservice was amazing, used genuine squib packs so it looked really fucking brutal.

Nah. It was Tarantino launching for a window a coherent story and pacing for just a festival of action.

Like compare the ending of Pulp Fiction against the one of Django, one ends with a good conversation of Sam Jackson, about redemption and ends with just two of the main characters leaving the restaurant in Jackie Brown the ending is slow and charming. Django just tries to be image over substance.

I watch Tarantino movies for the supposed prestige and I just don't get it. They always end up feeling like a waste of my time.
