Joking aside, Moffat really lost his shit after S5 when the show exploded in the US.
He used to write masterpieces in the RTD era, but once he got to write a whole season, he did it well because he had time to do it.
S6 was a mess and total shit and so was S7.
He managed to destroy River(who could be a potentially nice character)and completely fucked up the season leading to the 50th.
S8 was a massive improvement, but S9 felt bland and short.
The best thing he's brought to the show is Missy.
It was a show about 8-10years ago called Last Man Standing. They got athletes from around the UK/world that were good at different skills and sent them round the world to compete in local/tribal activities and games.
Think Richard Hammond narrated it.

Mathieson's episodes last year were so good(because just like Moffat with S5), he had time to plan them. The minute his eps became loved by the fans, he wrote that shit ep with Maisie Williams in it.
Dollard was the best new writer for S9.
