Man, the Far Side is amazing. I actually recall when my mind developed as a kid based on those comic books. I'd been reading Garfield and laughing my ass off but when I read Far Side, NOTHING was funny so I didn't read much of it. Fast forward 1 year and I read it again and nearly everything was funny. It was a monumental change in how I looked at the world. I ended up owning every book up to the mid 1990s or thereabouts.
I was like 5 at the time I think.
I find that people who find these comics funny are people who have wicked sarcasm type humor socially.
